Objective:

Our initiative aims to create a comprehensive database, Data and Tools, compiling diverse datasets and resources related to book history. This platform will not only catalog existing print and digital resources—such as printers’ records and library catalogues—but also explore data exchange standards and analytical methods for this field. By discussing how different sources are modelled, we aim to promote best research practices and maximize the impact within the academic community.
The project will culminate in the first-ever annotated catalogue of resources focused on Central European book history, providing scholars with a valuable overview of available data and analytical tools.
To further support the academic community, we will host virtual DH-Training Schools in the autumn, offering hands-on training with the curated data and tools from our database. While primarily open to Action participants, these sessions will also be advertised to a broader audience, encouraging wider participation and collaboration across the field.
