Today is International Women’s Day, and we are launching a campaign to celebrate women researchers and innovators in our COST Action. We currently have 58 women researchers and innovators in PCPSCE, and 63% of our leadership positions are occupied by women.
To better understand the challenges women still face in their careers and research fields, we conducted a survey, asking our female researchers three questions:
- Do you think that women in history are represented sufficiently in the literature of your field of research?
- Do you feel that you have ever faced challenges in your career because you are a woman?
- What advice would you give to young women starting a career in academia today?
Throughout March, in celebration of Women’s History Month, we will be sharing the survey results on our social media.
Stay tuned — and happy International Women’s Day to all the women researchers out there!
